Window and portlight boxes

BOHAMET offers steel boxes for all standard types of marine windows.

Box design is either standard or telescopic enabling use with thermal insulation of various thickness.

We also manufacture boxes for windows of custom size requested by the customer.

Boxes are powder painted in various colours at customer’s request.

Boxes are non-flammable and easy to fit.

Two basic types of boxes available:
1. Standard window and portlight boxes
2. Telescopic window and portlight boxes

Boxes may be made of the following materials:

• Carbon steel
• Acid resistant steel
• Non-magnetic steel
• Stainless steel

All boxes made of steel are covered with a RAL 9010 layer.

[box sign] [window number] [box type] - [nominal size] - [window or portlight type]

• Box symbol: OB;
• window number- see drawings, "No." (drawing list – click on a link in the right-hand side menu);
• box type:
  • no symbol - normal
  • T- telescopic;
• nominal size- see drawings, "NOMINAL SIZE" column;

Sample portlight box designation: OBT-A300-OL-190
Telescopic box(OBT) for A300 left hand opening portlight (OL) box height - L=190ą30 (190).

Sample window box designation: OBT3-400x560-OIR-220
Telescopic box (OBT) for inwards opening, right hinged (OIR) window no. 3 – nominal size 400x560 box height - L=220ą30 (220).

Window and portlight box weight

All weights given for standard boxes, made of steel, thickness- 1.5 mm, "L" - 170 mm.
